Prices are really low, I'd bet you can get the hides you selected and shipped to your boot maker.
Good luck,
I wish I could still fit into the pair I had made from a catch n kill made my senior year in high school.(1980)
I'm sure you can call a gator farm and get some good hides if you can't hunt em.

If you are going to wear them everyday, or a lot.... elephant will outlast
all of us, bet ele doesn't polish up and shine, it's a rough texture, Ostrich
is not as durable as many other hides.....
If you want different... you can get boots made from Bullfrog hide... yes, I
said bullfrog....
snakeskin is so 80's.... even Texastaxi has a pair of those somewhere..
Just decide on how much and for what purpose you are going to wear them,
look at some of the different materials used on the heels and soles... some
are great for all day on the feet stuff... some are great for sitting, pick
out want kind of toe you want, and what style of top you want...
you didn't say if these are true, made to fit you, custom boots, or a factory made
"custom" boot .... either way, there are tons of choices to consider
I have some custom hiorned back Caymans in black that are off the chain..

what a coincidence, my original thread asking about what boots to get from last July resurfaces the same day I post a thread about getting my new boots. 6 month wait for my Leddy boots and I now have them. I went with full quill ostrich with rough out kangaroo tops. Getting this pair to get my feet used to wearing boots again, next pair I think I'll go for elephant so I don't have to worry about tearing them up as easy as these ostrich.

I have had quite a different experience with Ostrich boots than most it seems. I currently have 4 pairs and they have been the best boots I have ever owned. They are the perfect combination of soft and durable, and they won't break the bank. I have had shark, elephant, leather, and this has been my experience. And I think full quills are the most beautiful boots you can buy.
