yep, I expect many do, maybe even most, but other forums have numerous accounts of them not. Sometimes it's an easy fix, sometimes it isn't.

I bought a new lever action 2 years ago while cursing myself for selling my first one 25 years ago. Easy choice for me. 30-30. Just easy all around. Ammo EVERYWHERE.

Winchester 94 chambered in 30-30! Great gun, ammo everywhere, plenty of oomph for just about anything, moderate recoil, don’t have to worry about it getting beat up. Just a great all around gun/cartridge combo, get one and you will be glad you did!

My first personal lever was a winchester 94 30-30 and it is my favorite. In the recent years I have bought a Henry 357 20" barrel and it is a smooth sweet shooter, very accurate but for me I just can't love it. I picked up a new Rossi R92 trapper in 44 mag a year ago and I must say it is very well put together, smooth tight action, shoots great and I love the 16" barrel.

About a month ago I bought a Marlin 336 (made by Remington) put a 2-7 leupold on it and it shoots great with both 150 and 170 grain loads.

For a "truck" gun i would go with a 16" barrel, either a pistol caliber or have a 30-30 cut down.
