I agree with this.... I generally like Marlins scoped with a smaller type scope..and Winchester’s not scoped....

Well, this is what I want to do, but my eyes wont allow me to. The iron sights are blurry, no way I could make a shot.

Red dot and get closer.
Make a good pig stalking gun.

Vx-3i 1.5-5x20mm

I would opine that this gentleman nailed it right here. I've had several Marlins with optics, the favorite had a Burris 1-5x. Any lightweight, low-power variable (1-4, 1-5, 1-6x) IMHO is the perfect hunting optic for the 200 yard or so capability of the cartridge. A Weaver 1-3x is another capable, lightweight choice.

Well, had a nice feller offer me a Low Powered scope, I accepted, just waiting for it to show up. I will post some pics when I get it on.
