Guys discuss dates and I'll make it happen. If we only get 3 then we only get 3.I'll still honor the same deal. A former student named Alan Oehlert ,who originally came to the class after seeing an ad in LoneStar Outdoor news, attended a pronghorn hunt last week with us. Alan made a perfect double lung shot on a nice pronghorn at an impressive 1,010 yards! We all watched him trot 50 yards and tip over. Alan was absolutely confident he could make the shot from a prone position and he executed it perfectly! Reguardless of your skill level or how much skill you have you will have the knowledge and techniques to make these shots. We don't recommend you try to shoot everything at those ranges but when you are very confident at 1,200 yards it makes a 500-600 yard shot seem nearly unmissable. You just need a rifle that shoots well ( 1" @ 100 yards would be minimum) and a scope with adjustable turrets ( MOA or MIL) again please don't hesitate to ask any questions if they come up.

For a beginner does the time of year matter for the class?
Like its cold in the am and hot in the pm.
I've read temperature changes effect bullet trajectory and burn rated of some powders, also are mirages more prevelant?
I know those are all part of the long range shooting equation.
I hope my questions make sense.

No the time of year doesn't matter we teach you to shoot ( or not to shoot) in any temperature, elevation, azimuth of your shot , or any other situation you may encounter. Mirage is something all shooters deal with in mid day shooting. You can actually use it to your advantage you read wind speed and direction, just keep in mind the target you are seeing in a heavy mirage is an illusion of the actual target position. All these things can be calculated.
