Here is the email response from Sprouts. Freaking libtards.

    Dear Brad,

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about our decision to prohibit firearms in our stores. Please understand that we recognize and respect our customers' rights under the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, a right that prohibits the government (but not private retailers) from infringing on citizens' right to bear arms. That right, however, must be balanced with our need as a retailer to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our customers and team members. That's why, after careful and thoughtful analysis, we have decided to prohibit our customers and our team members from bringing firearms onto our store premises. While this decision may disappoint some of our valued customers, such as yourself, we stand by our decision and have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our communities about it. We hope that you will continue to be a part of the Sprouts family notwithstanding our decision on this issue. We value your patronage and hope to see you again soon

    Sincerely,
    Lorena

I'd simply reply to have Sprouts Customer Relations to refer to recent history on the effectiveness of "gun free zones." Given those facts I'd say Sprouts isn't taking this stance based on safety. It's based on personal agendas. I'd also throw in something about their reading comprehension skills as well since they still do not have those signs completely legal, making them not effective notice to people legally carrying concealed weapons.

Guess the Sprouts that just opened near us isn't going to be getting any of my business!

It's not an enforceable sign because it's mostly hidden and perhaps because the letters don't have enough contrast. The darkness behind the glass makes the black letters hard to see. In fact, I've never seen a sign posted that way that didn't use white letters.

This just makes Sprouts an easier, "safer" target for the bad guys

Oh believe me I did email them back about the sign with pictures and let them know how Safe I felt in their store since bad guys don't eat organic or healthy.

Just think about this what will happen if every grocery store in the state of Texas post a legal sign. where is everybody going to buy there groceries.

That would really suck and I'm really glad that's hypothetical.

I'd open up a grocery store where conceal carrying is encouraged and make just as much money, if not more then the 30.06 stores.

What is the right answer in that case?

Letters are contrasting enough to read them, I wouldn't hang my hat on that. However, the large shelving setup is blocking it, therefore not clearly displayed. So if you did carry you would be ok if it came down to it and you could prove the shelving was blocking the signage.

I personally wouldn't go there due to not agreeing with the corporate model, I'd take my money elsewhere.

All of the grocery stores here welcome concealed carry and both of the banks I do business with do as well. Pro second amendment people buy far more products than the handful of "anti" protesters do, and most places of business know this. The few places that had signs up at the beginning of concealed carry here have taken them down now that they see that everything is good. Same will happen with open carry. A few places may try to prohibit it at first, but that will go away too. And most people I know, like myself will continue to keep their weapons concealed.

You may go broke... The anti's are growing and quickly. There are the few that are trying to shove open carry down their throats and they will push back. Hopefully it will change after a while much as concealed has. But may not... Concealed has worked because the masses don't see it. Open carry is, well, open... It might take quite a while for it to be the norm here where it hasn't been for a long time. Before most were born...
Do I boycott businesses with a posted 30.06 now? Yep
If more store start posting I will be forced to shop at some of them or revert to buying everything online. I DO believe in the second amendment and I also DO believe in property owners rights.
Some states require you to seek permission first to enter someone's home carrying. Texas does not have that requirement (I don't think ). Thoughts on that??
