30.06 sign issue at Sprouts

We had a new Sprouts food store open up here in Mansfield. It's kind of like a whole foods/ farmers market and they have good stuff and prices. Anyways we were walking in and noticed their 30.06 sign at the bottom of the door on the right side and it was blocked by a shelving display of plants. Told the wife to hold on going to talk to the manager first. Well told him about the sign and it being obstructed and could cause someone to inadvertently break the law. He was clueless about the sign being there or what it was for. Politely told him we would not be shopping there as it was our right to choose to, same as the store has the right to display the sign. Nice guy and asked him to talk to corporate and find out there policy. He wrote it all down and said he would get back with me. Here are some pics of the sign . I also sent a email to the corporate office and would like to see if they respond.

We used to shop at the Sprouts when we lived in Richardson. They did not have 30.06 signs for several years. When I first saw the sign I asked the manager and she had no clue what I was talking about. I emailed their corporate office about the 30.06 signs and got a response that said they were put in place as a corporate policy as the result of the majority of customers comments on the issue.

I think the corporate policy is in your face kind of deal but I don't think it is a legal sign.

Well, as the property owner they have the right and have made their decision. As a consumer, I'm compelled to make my decision as well and will shop elsewhere.

If you carry concealed correctly nothing because they will never know you are carrying

Posting a sign hidden like that should be a fine against them.
That sign is not enforceable in my opinion.

I'm thinking this! Trying to please everyone. Truly concealed no one knows. Hide the sign a little and you are covered either way.

I am afraid that once open carry passes there will be many more signs show up. I for one believe I have the right to carry and protect, granted by the constitution CHL or not.
The sign did look to be of legal size lettering and English and Spanish. Just hard to read with background and being blocked.
