I just picked one up at Alamo Precision - the Cz 527 varmint model. Can't wait to see what this little gun will do

range would depend on what your shooting I guess... I've shot a coyote at 150 and it was DRT. I wouldn't be scared to shoot out to 300 yards if I had a chance...

pretty much the same as any other center fire cartridge in the same guns. Your just limited to like 3 manufactures right now. CZ, Rugger and Savage.

isn't the Mach 2 the little 22 LR necked to a 17? The hornet is a 22 hornet necked down to a 17.

Yep, would have zero problems shooting a coyote at 300+ yds

Just know your rifle and dope

An awful lot of pigs have fallen to our .17 hornet. You just need to shoot for the head, and they are down before the echo.

Oh ok that makes sense now. I don't know much about the 17.

due to the bottle-neck case design, the 22 Hnt has never been known for it's accuracy

the 40* Ackley Improved shoulder and neck sizing down to .17 makes this cartridge scary accurate and super efficient

for those familiar with the 17HMR, my 17AH is more accurate than my HMR and both are custom built

another one for the Hornet last night... Shot it about 50 yards off my back porch. He made it about 20 yards.
