I have the CZ 527 varmint and had it threaded so I can put my spectre II on it... My dad bought a Savage and it shoots lights out also

I've owned my 17 Ackley Hornet for over a dozen yrs and it is by far one of my top 2 favorite custom rifles . Zero recoil, stupid accurate, and 20 gr vmax's pushing 4K fps

PO Ackley created this cartridge in the 1950's , 22 Hornet necked down to 17 with a 40 degree shoulder angle. Very efficient and a blast to shoot

Hornady saw the demand based on how popular the 17 HMR was created the Hornady Hornet about 3-4 yrs ago.

                my load : 12.0 grs N120 under a 20 gr Berger or Vmax = 3850 fps

it is now, I noticed that Carters Country started carrying it. Price has got back down to 16.99ish per 25, but that is online a Midway last time I bought some.
