Glock 43? (single stack 9mm)

So as a person who does not own a Glock yet, what is the difference in the this and a double stack 9? Is it the compact version of the 26 (I think that is the smaller concealable 9mm) that would be thinner and not so heavy?
I do plan on owning a Glock just haven't gotten around to affording one just yet. Anyone I know who does own them says you can't go wrong with a Glock.

Yes it's close in dimension (length and height) of the double stack but less capacity and lighter weight.

How does it shoot? Ive heard the rumor of it having a ton of recoil was debunked pretty quick.

My wifes bday is also 3/19!
