Yes. I've never shot a mid length system so I can't say how much. You can also change buffers on the carbine length to slow the impulse down.

Tons of questions I know and thanks for the help!

I bought 3ea PSA blemished lower recently, couldn't find a flaw. I picked up a complete upped with a FN barrel, PSA lower build kit and Magpul furniture, shoots great. Took me 30 minutes to assemble lower, as stated before take your time, use tape to prevent scratching.

I'll build the uppers on the next two but you need additional tools increasing the overall cost of the build. Watch Youtube videos and print out the guide from the link below, you need it to differentiate the parts for assembly. Good luck and have fun, you'll be ordering parts for your second in no time.

Can one of you better qualified fellas give your opinions on these two uppers

                  Blemished

I could care less about blemishes i just want the most accurate of the two barrels

You won't know until you shoot them... Chrome lined will get you a long barrel life, but is normally a tad less accurate.

They said Im not allowed to test fire them so which one? They are both chrome lined and made by the same company.....and what does the tag "premium" really mean? Do they test them for accuracy or is it just a word to make it sound good?

I'd lean towards the second "machine gun barrel". The barrel will be manufactured by FN and is cold hammer forged.

Agreed! FN makes a great barrel!

I'm a little partial, that's what I picked up. I made the decision to go with FN after quite a bit of research however.

The blem with the FN barrel is a great deal. The barrel alone is worth $279
