Also, don't spend $1000 building up that lower. You will lose your b#$% selling it later. Build a nice $600 shooter.

If you are going to try in install the takedown pins without the tool. Go into a bathroom, shut the door, and use safety googles. Make sure drains are closed and toilet seat is down. You will thank me later when you are looking for that pin.

youre going to spend $60 for the lower then build it with a $70 kit then look for a stock somewhere making it more expensive. i would go with the $150 lower from there and pick an upper.

Check out these lowers. They have the PEW, PEW PEW, and PEW PEW PEW.
Building a custom AR15? Choose from Aero Precision's selection of Stripped & Complete Lower Receivers, made with quality you can count on.

In a way yes. Most people know you built the gun on a $50 lower. You could put $750 stuff on a PSA lower and you might get lucky and get your money back. Put $750 on a Rock River lower and your gun is considered a thing of beauty. Not my rules. The lower is great, not bashing it.

ya i didnt do this at all. I went the exact opposite and built my first AR (actually still building, sbr and supressor pending) to the top of the line everything. I wanted a gun that i looked at and could never find something i wanted to upgrade on it and thats what i have managed to build. It was my first AR to own and build and it also happens to be the nicest AR out of anyone that i know. I would build it however you want, cheap or expensive at the end of the day its your baby so get it the way you want. granted i havent added up what i have in my AR bc im scared of the real price haha. I have a whole lot of $$$ in a 24.5" (total length) gun

maybe i mis-understood the previous statement. If your saying get a better lower go with the seekins sp223. It is SEXY SEXY SEXY!!!

Yep, but you got my point. It's taste in my opinion when building your gun. My last build was a retro XM177, fixed upper, small handguard, pencil barrel, etc. Super lite and cool to look at. I think I built it on a CMMG lower.

Any recommendations on a better lower receiver......I was kinda figuring id save the most of the funds for a quality barrel bc Id like to have some good accuracy out of it.

There is nothing wrong with a blem PSA lower receiver! It is the same as a spikes but it has a different rollmark(mfr label). If you get it, you will be satisfied. Im saying buy the unit complete and spend the money on a **** good upper from lmt or bcm or dd. Even the PSA upper with the 4150 bbl is really good quality because it is made by FN. They have a complete lower with moe furniture for 170 right now. Saves money once again!!

Incidentally, "blemished" means a color differentiation, roll mark depth, or other cosmetic issue that does nothing to affect quality.
