When you use sub-standard ammo you can expect malfunctions. The only other thing you might check is the extractor. Get some good ammo and test the gun again.

my guess is that the FSB is off center/not installed correctly.
Had the same issues and this was the culprit.

My AR runs fine with anything I feed it.

In addition all the AR's that I have run the Tula through and jams you can run wolf and monarch through it and they run just perfectly. Again I can not stress enough change ammo.

It's not the ammo most likely. I'm with TommyH. It's your fsb. A simple check for you to confirm.

Get two rubber bands and a piece of notebook paper or copy paper.

Loosely wrap the fsb with the paper, with the fsb centered. Then place a rubber band around the edges on each side of the paper to secure it to the gun.

Fire the gun. If the paper gets blown away from the barrel in any way, you have a gas leak. Loosen the fsb and realign and retest.

                Simple as that.

I'll agree with everybody else on the gas block being something you want to check.

Also, "really wet" isn't something you want with oil. Too much oil will jam up a rifle in a hurry, especially a direct impingement rifle.

I run all of my weapons with nothing more than a very light coating of WD40. Blasphemy, I know... But, in 300+ firefights with the enemy after switching to this method, I was the ONLY man in my platoon to never experience a malfunction while under fire. Just something to think about...

IF you have the time bring it out and we will go over it, I'm willing to bet its something simple that we see in classes.

Ar's....run them wet period , not going to argue or debate.

If you come out I'll even run you through a few drills once we get it running right..

To the OP I don't know if you have checked this already but a carbine buffer/tube will be a royal pain in a rifle platform.

I agree, sounds like a gas problem of some sort.
