I agree 2 holes are better but you have previously posted that you normally get an exit with VLD's

"I've had a pass through on every shot and MASSIVE internal damage."

Absolutely devastating. I have video of an axis doe I shot as she was almost facing directly away from me. She stopped and looked back and I put it right behind her last rib on the left side. A small piece exited through the right front shoulder and she went about 10 yards. 129gr Berger VLD from a 6.5 Creedmoor at 105 yards.

Let me try to upload the video.

          Not sure what you're asking.

I was responding to denowt's comment on not understanding why people insist on an exit wound.

Forgot to add in that original reply that there is no energy transfer with a bullet.

That oughta get em stirred up.

Hey Bowtechkiller, let me know how you like them. I've been thinking about trying them in my .308. I'm not a big fan of BT bullets though so not sure if I want to try them.

What do you mean BT bullets?

All I know is the berger bullet loaded in the 6.8SPC sucks. There are pics of the tests done on the six eight forum, I cant find them right now but they were also posted on here somewhere before. it tumbles badly and sorta flattens out and all sorts of weird stuff.

I shoot a 210 gr vld out of my 300 ultra. I have yet to need a blood trail on whitetail, hogs or red stag.

Those were posted under a thread I started about 8.6 SPCII

Bergers are designed to be pushed fast not slow

Here's a very quartered away shot on an axis doe with a 129gr Berger VLD. You will see her go down to the left after she runs.

                          Fast forward to 3:30

What twist rate is this 6.8SPC barrel? VLD's require a faster twist rate to stabilize. Could be the problem.

I have seen the same write up he is talking about. It was not a stabilization or accuracy issue, the bullet just tumbled upon impact instead of expanding. That bullet in that caliber is designed to be pushed faster IMO.
