Ha you sound about like me! I only clean my benelli m2 if the action gets a little sluggish. And that's about once every year or 2 I just drop all the action and guts in a bucket of gasoline and then swirl it around hit it with brake cleaner for the bad stuff and roll on.

It doesn't mater rain or shine mine usually gets set out to air out before going in safe but that's all it gets after a hunt

I'm guessing this is a duck hunting thing. If something isn't broke, I don't ever tear it down into "little pieces". My old humpback (68') hasn't been passed barrel and stock off since the late 70s. I went through a phase of wanting to know how everything was put together. I'll spray it down with gun cleaner ever so often. Shoots every year.

Same here. I've never had my Benelli's broken down to the "guts". Mainly because I'm sure I'd lose something or forget where it goes lol. I don't necessarily believe in abusing my shotguns but I don't have time to baby them and worry about them not firing.

                After every hunt.

I shoot a Benelli Nova, so break down is simple.

Broken down, cleaned, and back together in 15 minutes or less.

If I was duck hunting in water I would do it more often though
Either you are not married or the rest of us are in the wrong profession! I couldn't tell you the last time that I made 12 dove hunts in a season - jealous!!!

I clean mine when they need it. More guns are worn out from cleaning than shooting.

This. Mine gets a bath maybe twice a year. Just a squirt of Remoil here and there when I can find it.

X2. My beretta has been cleaned.... Once. When it was new lol.

My bolt guns get cleaned a LOT. But that's different.

I shoot bullseye competition, and my .45 and .22 MAY get cleaned once a year. They average 1-200 rounds a month in the .22 and 2-300 rounds in the .45.
I run them wet and wipe the outsides down.
                              Same with the rifles.

                              They like it dirty.

                              Cleaning is way over rated.
