It's not about being prepared for some science fiction BS, it's about being prepared for what you know full well can and probably will happen. A few days worth of food, water, fuel and a weapon to defend it and your family with is just good thinking. It has nothing to do with my Christian beliefs.

Im Not much of a prepper but something I have always found interesting is how Everyone always assumes that if things got really bad it must be the tribulation. We quickly forget the last 2000 years and how many catastrophic events there have been ie. world wars, plagues, crusades etc.

There are a lot of bad things that can happen that would benefit you to be prepared.I feel secure in my relationship with God but he also gave me the ability to prepare for unseen bad times.you can look back in history and see where preparedness would have benefited people.

Jesus never said to turn the other cheek if hungry and angry looters come down your street with the intent to steal your food supplies, valuables and rape your wife and daughter. I think that those who would will one day learn, "you missed my point, my child".

Why? I don't understand all the media hype! Bottom line is if your right with God you shouldn't be prepping for doomsday. All this stock piling and media BS is a joke and is to scare our nation! PLEASE help me understand this if you can........ Makes no sense to me

Everyone else has hit the same answer which is that they aren't prepping for the Second Coming of Christ.

But looking at your pondering, why have insurance, carry firearms for defense, have smoke detectors, wear seatbelts, lock your doors, etc. The preppers are preparing for chaos and anarchy, not the end times.
