Why all the doomsday prepping if your a Christian?

I don't understand all the media hype! Bottom line is if your right with God you shouldn't be prepping for doomsday. All this stock piling and media BS is a joke and is to scare our nation! PLEASE help me understand this if you can........ Makes no sense to me

I see your point but people prep for different reasons, not necessarily the end of days. Good to have a security blanket...

The power going out for a week or so because of a blizzard has nothing to do with how I feel about god.

I'm not prepping for doomsday. I'm prepping for the days before...

Seriously, if we lost power for a couple of weeks it would be utter chaos and people would freak. Terriost, natural disaster, nuclear reactor explosion, etc...

It all depends on your view to the tribulation. If you are a pre-trib, then the only reason to prep is to get through a natural disaster or power outage. If you are a post-trib, then you better be prepared, because you believe we will be here when it hits the fan.

Perhaps because God allows bad things to happen...and it's up to us overcome these things.

When Ike hit the Galveston, Boliver, Houston etc area, there were a lot of people without power for weeks. Super Storm Sandy, power failures, Katrina and the aftermath/riots etc., the possibility of a terror attack.....

Yeah, no reason whatsoever to prepare for anything.....

When I talked to my neighbor about the "Zombie Apocalypse" he thought it was a joke too. Until I pointed at Hwy 6 and said, "Do you remember Ike?" "Do you remember Katrina and Rita and how people were acting?". Then I saw the light bulb above his head come on. THAT is who the Zombies are.

It's not about being prepared for some science fiction BS, it's about being prepared for what you know full well can and probably will happen. A few days worth of food, water, fuel and a weapon to defend it and your family with is just good thinking. It has nothing to do with my Christian beliefs.

A lot of different things could go down. War on American soil, civil war/revolution, natural disaster...the list goes on. I don't go all out on my prepping, but I'm prepared for quite a bit as far as those things, but the only thing I'm prepping for the end of the world is my soul
