I normally don't carry an extra mag but I do always have a back up pistol in the truck that has a higher mag cap then my carry pistol. But if I am going to an area that I know has a high crime rate or a new big city that Im not familiar with I will throw any extra mag in my pocket and an extra in the truck so that I have one for both guns.

Nope, I'm done being a student, at least for now.

To address the question of why in the truck and not on me. My CCW is there to allow me to secure myself and family and allow us to withdraw from a dangerous situation to a safe one. A pistol is a defensive weapon, if you are using one you either need to be getting a bigger weapon operational or moving away from the bad guys.

I carry one extra with my semi-auto (belt clip.) When I carry the J frame I have two moon clips on me.... one in the truck and the other in my pocket.

Yes I have an extra mag in my holster in my truck. But, no when I have my gun on me. To much weight to carry. I figure if they are still a threat after 10 to 15 rounds then I can just beat them with the gun. LOL

I carry 2 spares in my back pocket for my LCP in this carrier I made. Super thin and is a piece of cake to carry. Rather have 19 rounds as opposed to 7

One extra on my belt for my pm9 which is my 90% of time carry weapon. If I pocket carry my p380 I carry a back up mag in a pocket holster front left.
