Our CHL instructor gave us instructions to email our stuff. It was much quicker.

Mailed on 2/4 and just received paperwork today. It took about 3 1/2 weeks for paperwork to be received. Seems to be the same for most everyone. Now the background check waiting game begins.

I mailed mine on 2/5, sounds like I am getting close, hopefully that means mine changes soon.

I have heard if you lived out of state recenlty that slows it down. Anyone know if this is true? I lived in 2 other states in the last 4 years, but I got back to Texas as quick as I could!!!

Yes, sir. I live in 5 cities but 4 states. It takes time to go through their system to make sure you are clean. I had issues with Ohio, my hometown, I had to call the Court to verify that I have nothing bad on my record because they didn't respond to lady's at DPS requests for the info. I called and spend half morning to finally speak with right woman and got her extension then called that lady at DPS to immediately call her thought this extension. DPS lady finally got a hold of this lady and confirmed that I'm clean. As soon as she hung up the phone and passed my background and sent out the same day! I think she said other cities responded quickly except that this took like 2-3 weeks. Don't remember. That's why mine was little over 2 months, I think before I got in the mail.

got an update today sent my packet on 2/4 but it says that my fingerprints and background check are still under review?

Well my holster came in the mail today, now just waiting on someone to hit approve on my application.

I'm somewhat nervous. I have a clean record, never gotten a ticket etc, but Others who sent theirs after mine are getting their license.

If you don't have any history I wouldn't be nervous I've had some stuff so it makes me nervous no felonys or nothing but still nerve racking

im in the same boat as you....no felonies just minor stuff...but still makes me nervous as heck my wife will shoot me if lose that money lol

I've been researching and put off ordering but finally placed an order this morning. 4-6 weeks for delivery on Crossbreed so I guess I shouldn't get too anxious about my license.

Austin received my renewal documents January 10th. Last Monday the update finally said "mailed"...I'm waiting...and waiting....

I've been researching and put off ordering but finally placed an order this morning. 4-6 weeks for delivery on Crossbreed so I guess I shouldn't get too anxious about my license.

That was part of why I went with White Hat. 3-4 weeks and a Texas company. I got it first! I can always use it in the truck or around the house till licence gets in.

I honestly had decided on Whitehat, but was disappointed that they didn't reply to two separate emails I sent over a 6 day period. I finally called and inquired about ordering multiple (25+) customized holsters and they seemed disinterested, at best. I probably still would have leaned toward WH if not for Chuy's first hand comparison where he said his Crossbreed was a more comfortable holster than his WH. Jacking around trying to decide between WH (and waiting for a response from them) and CB is why I've delayed ordering, but I ultimately decided I can't go wrong with CB, even if I have to wait an extra week or so.

I am really disapointed to hear that. I had a great experience but it was only for one, off the shelf item. I have not had the opportunity to compare with a CB holster by anything other than pictures. Hope you get it ahead of schedule and are pleased with it.
