Why the run on 22lr ammo??

I understand that ammo for guns that could be consider A/R related to be disappearing from the shelves. Why the demand for the 22lr?

I know if they are able limit and prohibit the sale of one type of ammo that opens the door for all other ammo.

I mean, I have my fair share of ammo and 22lr included, stocked up. Most of my ammo has been purchased for years even inherited some before this politcal stuff came into play. Not for any reason other than wow thats a good price better get some extra.

I was just wondering if I missed something regarding the 22lr??

I have been to Bass Pro Grapevine twice. Both times completely out. Wally World out.

Cause next to AR's the 22's have the most high cap mags out there is my guess so all those people are buying them up just incase. Also consider how many AR's that shoot 22's were sold just cause they look like AR-15's during all this

Most versatile round in a survival situation. Easy to carry 1000's of rounds of .22lr, not so much with .223.

My kids run through about 500-650 rounds a week....

I went looking today for a few thousand rounds...came up a big zero...

I'm going to have to tell my kids to slow down..

cheap, works, most popular round on the market, fun to shoot, can kill anything from deer, hogs to varmint for pennies(yes I know deer are illegal with 22lr,tell the the preppers ok), even take out a zombie if need be. Put a lot of lead down range really quick and really cheap. Not only is it hard to find 22lr ammo but 10/22 are hard to find aswell. And they eat 22lr. and what he said ^^^^ and great training practice round

Cause when TSHTF, a 10/22, 4-5 BX25 mags and about 2000 22LR are light and portable.

I came across several thousand rounds of 22LR at Walmart. I'm good for awhile

sounds like good logic. I will keep looking. I just enjoy shooting things with my 22lr. Always have and hope I always will. Yes I have seen the 22lr take down a variety with a well placed shot. Shaving cream cans and cheap sodas are my kids favorites.

.22lr makes one of the most perfect survival round. Cheaper than most. Kill wat ever for food and self defense.
