338RUM on wyoming mule deer did the trick at over 400 yards...

Never hunted with it but I got to shoot a friends Heym 450/400 3" which was a kick in the pants!!

I hunt deer with a 358 Winchester as my primary rifle but I have also used 300 Weatherby and a 25-06.

By bullet diameter it's 35 Whelen, but by case capacity its 300WM/ WSM.

I was gonna say by the true definition of caliber it's definitely my .50 cal blackpowder Hawken rifle.
