375Ruger, it’s like the 375 H&H good to go on just about anything from medium sized game to the dangerous stuff
250gr TSX @ 2870fps excellent on small to medium and dangerous ( in a pinch)

For me, 30-30 or .270. Depending on which you consider "bigger".

biggest caliber, the tried and true 45-70, and the 458 Socom,,, biggest bore... 10 ga, slugs and buckshot,,,,, hard to get much bigger than that,,,, I have also shot the 50 Beowulf and the 50bmg,,, but their still smaller than the 10 ga. Also used a 50 cal Hawkins

470 NE on a couple Elephants brain shots one in Zimbabwe and another in Botswana, buffalo in Tanzania and Zambia. A charging Hippo that was caught between him and the water in the morning he was ****** he made to about 11 yards until he took one in the brain. I used my 375 H&H on lots of stuff including leopard and lion

Hand loaded 45-70 with a 300 grain soft point. These are listed in reloading manuals for Modern firearms. Lined up 2 pigs and took them both with 2 shot DRT

Bison with a 45-70 out of a Sharps rifle replica. Was pleasurable to shoot, with less felt recoil than my 30-06.

73 cal with a 436gr. Shot lots of deer with them in my lifetime. . Also known as a 12ga slug. I've got some that throw the 436gr at 2,000 fps.

.50 cal muzzleloader and killed a doe with it. Tried elk hunting in New Mexico several times and couldn't get close enough. 7SAUM for everything else.

375 H&H. Works on just about anything you want to hunt. Lots of plains game in Africa and one bull Nilgai.

Remington 375 Ultra Mag on a brown bear hunt, dam that gun kicked, it was a Remington 700 Alaskan I think, it only weighed about 7-8 lbs, no muzzle break, have not shot it since and don't plan on it.
