I felt pretty old fashion at the camp when one of the guys asked me about my gun , I replied that it was a 222. Two other fellas said they had never heard of a 222.
then the conversation switched to my old 2506 and how long I had owned it. I told them that I bought it the 1st year Remington made them, 1969. They laughed and said it looked like it. I laughed and told them my guns were for hunting and if I had to get down and belly crawl my gun had to go with me. Guns have changed the way they look and I will tell you I’ve witnessed some really good shots with guns that aren’t blue with wood stocks. Like mention before if you like it that’s all that matters.
