I got things back in the truck and came home. Have been tinkering with it for 2 days and discovered the reason I couldn’t make it come on again was because I was pressing too long and too hard on the button. A quick, light push does the trick. Now-headed out tonight and hopefully the hogs will cooperate and I will see if it still shuts down at the shot. Hopefully it has self-corrected. Well out of warranty so if it goes back to the mfr, I hope the diagnosis and repair can be done. If not, I’ll be shopping for a replacement with Jason.

Next up is a replacement trigger—
Went out tonight and knocked down a boar and the scope didn't act up one bit. Going back to the range tomorrow and shoot it some more to really get it zeroed perfectly.

Back to the range today and on the 5th shot it shut down, but came back on in a few seconds. Then repeated on Special and on Visitor Messages it shut down and wouldn't come back on. Brought things home, dismounted the scope, and guess what? Yep, it's working normally again. Not gonna remount it--off to Pulsar now.

Jason would probably be the one to talk to but what caliber is the gun? My first thought is the scope can't handle the recoil for some reason. Shouldn't be an issue and I could be 100% wrong but that is my first thought after reading what you wrote.

cehorn--I have spoken with Jason and he is scratching his head too. The new rifle is a .308 and the previous rifle was a .223, so recoil is most likely the issue. Waiting on reply from the mfr and hopefully they will be sympathetic as the warranty expired only a month ago.

In yalls opinion is the V2 rattlers worth the extra coin or should I save some money and get the Gen 1s? I watched a video on them but I'm not entirely sure what all the newer ones can do that the old ones can't. Thanks in advance

I've messed with the Gen 1 and have friends that use them with good success. I bought my 1st one in a TS25-384 V2 and I'm personally blown away. The rechargeable batteries are legit. Comes with 2 batteries. I ran the hotspot on it and was streaming to my phone quite a bit and was able to get appr. 5hrs and still had 1 bar on battery. The audio was very clear and I really like having that. The base magnification increased a little from the Gen 1 to V2 model which I think is great. I was looking at pigs 800-1000yds and raccoons at 600yds. Could see mouse running around 125yds no problem. The focus knob on front is easier to operate versus the older one as it has 3 "oversized" knobs for easy gripping and focusing. I think if you can afford the Gen 1 then get the V2 if you're looking at the TS25 model if you're shooting out to 200yds. If shooting further then the TS35 would suit you better. I shot pigs out to 150yds last weekend with the TS25 with no issues.

Contact Jason with Outdoor Legacy and I'm sure he can give you more info but this was my 1st thermal and I'm not disappointed at all and it did everything plus some for me.

I have been looking at the Pulsar Thermion 2 XP50. Do any of yall have this? I see they have a range finding version now, not sure if that would be worth the extra money or not.

The XP50 Pro offers one of the best image qualities you can get in a 2x base mag optic, especially in that price range. The LRF version is $1,000 more and it's only worth it if you plan on doing a lot of shooting over 250 yards or you hunt on a lot of properties you don't know well and have a harder time judging the distance on.

We have teamed up with Pulsar and have a promo running through the end of February that gets you a free tripod with the purchase of a Thermaion, while tripod supplies last. With the XP model you get a $600 Kopfjager tripod and Reaper Grip system that is fantastic and holds any rifle.

If you're interested or would like to talk more about the XP50 or any other thermals feel free to give us a call, we'd love to help and have your business.(877)350-1818

Is there a better deal than the Iray G35 384 in the 2500.00 range right now? This will go on an AR set up with shots 200 yards or less.

It really depends on a few things but the $2,500 price range is stacked with good optics right now. The GL35 is a strong contender, as is the Pulsar Talion XQ35 Pro and the AGM Rattler V2 TS35-384.

I'd suggest giving us a call and we'd be happy to compare the different scopes for you, we have a lot of field time behind them all..(877)350-1818

I just got the AMG Rattler V2 ts25-384 and already tried it out. The battery lasts a long time, audio is very good and clear, wi-fi streaming to phone live is awesome, and the qd mount is a
plus for me so I can scan from vehicle before getting out. Takes 5 seconds to snap it on gun and go after them. My longest shooting was for 200yds and less based on my AR setup. Shot one boar at 150yds no issues. Could see animals out to 1000yds no issues in wheat field. I feel like I got more for the scope than I paid. VERY HAPPY with it.
