Question for Outdoor Legacy, or anyone that may know or do this.

As of right now I’ve only got one battery for my Pulsar Thermion XP 50. The last time I went out I left it running non stop to see how long the unit would stay on. I made it about 3 hours and the external battery was drained, with about 3/4 of the internal.

Is running the unit continuously going to cause issues? Or do I need to turn the unit off and on?

Thanks for the replies. He ended up selling it this morning but I had pretty much convinced myself to buy it. I'm not in a hurry to get into thermal but one of these days. I just got the bug for predator hunting so I'm sure that may change pretty quick. But for now I'll stick with the thermal monocular and wraith.

Outdoor Legacy What are your thoughts on the AGM Secutor LRF 35-384 VS the AGM Varmint V2 LRF 35-384? I noticed yall don't carry the Secutor on the website, and was curions as to why that is.

With the ability for the Secutor to be used as a clip on or as a thermal sight, seems like it is the best of both worlds?

For my specific needs, shots would be 50-300 yards, with most occurring around 100-200.

        Thanks!

I have the AGM Varmint V2 LRF 35-384 and have shot several pigs with it for the last few months. A couple of things I really like about it.
            • Price - For a quality thermal with a rangefinder there isn't many that can compete in this price range
            • Batteries - They are not proprietary which means I can buy backup batteries (18650 Rechargeable Battery) off Amazon and keep a few in my pocket. They are also cheap.
            • Zoom Dial on the side, make its easy to find even with gloves on at night. You know exactly where its at all times.
            • Great quality and clarity, even with this resolution
            • Ballistic calculator - This is a cool feature, have only tested it out to 240 yards so far and it was dead on.
The only downside for me is Im left handed and the zoom/function dial is on the left hand side so I have to reach over with my right hand, not a big deal overall though.

              Thnaks!

Do you find that you block the rangefinder when you are adjusting the focus, or has that been a non issue?

Outdoor legacy responded via FB messenger, and stated they didn't recommend the Secutor largely due to the batteries that the device takes.

Its a non issue for me.

Battery type is a big factor thats sometimes overlooked.
