I need a little advise.
I am new to the ar scene so bear with me I havn't quite picked up the lingo yet.
I just bought an Ar and getting it setup
the main use will be long distance paper punching and varmints.
it has an M4 stock and I do not like the loose and light feel of it for shooting long distance. I will be buying a carbine complete upper in the future and it will work fine for that.
What stock would yall use on this rifle for long distance target and varmint?
specs
Olympic arms 24" bull .223 wssm
CMMG lower
Thanks,
Budd

I have some skill in metal fab and have a drill press.
Been thinking about doing one,not to save money but just to say ive done it and to have a reciever with no markings would be cool too.

I've read threads where guys applied and made their own cans too...like your deal (onesy - twosy), but had to notify??
Anyway, there are tons of billet lowers out there so gotta be prints available & not rocket science. My great grandad had one of the first machine shops down here and agree it would be very cool to make your own toys.
I never got to meet him...my mom has a picture of him in the local paper with a homemade tripod. My Gramp said it started out at 15' and ended up at 6ft in a year.
That would be a great diy thread!!
