Good job Larry. Pigs are bad about running off with them. Running off and breaking them too.. I had one last year break my shaft off about 3" behind the broadhead. Then had the gall to keep the Grim Reaper and leave. The never of some of these pigs. Don't they know those mechanicals are almost $38 a pack? I think it really boiled down to the fact I didn't have the stones to follow him into the brush to go get it back.

In the last 30 mins of my hunt, I hit the rattle horns. I sat down and about 5 mins later, something exploded out of the brush behind me. I nervously grabbed my bow with my heart pounding. It stopped right behind me. I was scared to turn and look. Bout that time I looked over, I saw a man looking at me. "Sorry man" and he took off....
That's pretty funny right there. Well.... (if your not the one hunting that is.) Still made me laugh anyhow.

She was a fatty. Looked like it hard slightly quartering away and hit opposite front shoulder. A little too solid of a shot. I have a good feeling she's down, but I'll have to wander onto her. Group was about 12. Heard em coming from about 75 yards. Had time to switch to a Slick Trick arrow. They came from public side, and that's where she ran back to. The rest hung around for ten mins wanting to come back in and then finally wandered off. Funny part was when I went to get down and one tiny one realized it was left behind. A tiny little black football shape ran under the stand trying to catch up to the group!

Funny stuff Leon! I bet he thought he was gonna sneak up on two bruisers going at it! Proud to say I don't think I'll ever be fooled by a hunter rattling.

I guess it just comes with public land hunting.
LOL You could have at least waved at me!! I hunted my buddy's stand the other day and thought I had a good idea which tree he left it in. There was a guy shining a light at me right where the stand should be. Since I wasnt sure I was sure, I said foget it and went home. Went back after morning hunt and I bet the two stands werent 20 yards apart LOL

I've been up in NE Ok for the past week and headed back to DFW this weekend.... Curious to to know if they are still chasing?

I think all the Grapevine hunters called it quits.

We had a tall spike chase a doe in on top of us yesterday. Larry is correct, no one was there when we pulled in, and only two there when we came back to the truck. I was really surprised for a black Friday hunt. I think one had a shot gun because I found a couple of live shells on the trail that he had dropped.

We are coming up on a full moon, not sure you will see a lot during the day. Unless they start rutting again.

I was out there on thanksgiving morning, lost a doe. Tracked her a good 1000 yards before losing blood. Saw 7 total with 1 spike chasing a doe hard. I'll be in there again come Saturday. I'm also on the hunt when you can program. Supposed to be warm saturday, but you never know!
