We have the aransas archery hunt coming up. Scouting is this weekend, hunt is next weekend

I know LANWR still had the hunts during the last Government shut down. We were sweating that as well. But they still had the hunt. The Fed Wardens are essential so they still will be working.

I'm not fine with it, it's our land and belongs to us so let us use it.

I drew a hunt in 2018 and as it worked out, the hunt dates were during one of the govt. shut downs.

We still had the hunt, but the attitude of some of the staff during orientation was "I'm not getting paid to be here, you should be thankful we're here, don't expect any help from us, don't call us if you need anything, you're on your own, you're lucky we're even here in the first place." They even said as much during and after the orientation. A couple of them were really vocal about it.

I didn't care for the attitude and left them that feedback after the hunt. Still had the hunt though,

If they cancel the hunt go anyways there won’t be anyone there working and you’ll have the whole place to yourself.
