The Weather Channel is reporting a 30% chance for isolated T-Storms most of this week. Still no recorded rain fall reported for the month of July, Austwell or Fulton.

As dry as it is and with this 100+ heat I can't see the mosquitoes being a major problem this year unless conditions change.

I'm curious as to how tall the grass is, when and what's been burned?

what does the refuge look like this year. with no rain is there any grass. the last time i went was the year of the big fire. will probably go this year if the weather cools off.

As of last week the ponds were getting dry. The deer looked good and plenty of hogs. COuld use some rain it would help both the animals and sketters.

Found a cheap bar-stool at WalMart that looks like its perfect for hunting out in the grass at the Refuge. Doesn't have a back rest but its lite to carry and only $12.88

I seriously cannot wait, I got a brand new second hand jerry rigged bear bow that cant wait to stick a pig and a shooter (me) that cant wait to be bit by a minimum of 100 skeeters. Bring it on baby.
