Not sure what some of you in-land people expect Houstonians to do.
Most have stocked up on essentials and have filled up their gas tanks.
Believe it or not, even within the last 4 years, there have been areas in the Houston metropolitan area that have received 10+ inches of rain, some even 15+. So to say the area in general isn't used to having flooding issues is not true.
Most of these meteorologist don't seem to have a clue on exactly how much rain we will get. Could be 5 inches, could be 30.
I mean seriously, anyone outside of the 100 year flood plane realistically probably isn't going anywhere.
My brother in law knows a guy who sits next to a guy that knows some county officials that said you should listen to the local weather advisory and follow recommended precautions. The end.
