Orange, Newton, Jasper and Jefferson County thread

Newton lease cams are firing on all 8 cylinders. Two youth hunters took their first deer (does) last weekend. As of now, we have at least four bucks that we would consider shooting this season if the opportunity is given. Orange County started out slow this morning but wound up seeing six does & a mature buck. Killed one doe that field dressed 80 pounds.

Crispy up in Newton this morning, 1 young buck on a does behind this morning so far. Didn’t help that I was on TBH lol

Getting good 2 does just cruised in Bleating up a storm hope big boys follow

Big buck just crossed creek dogging does hard still can’t make out to see if quite a shooter but looks big and grunting up a storm 40 yds away

Headed out this AM to go hunt the lease and I get halfway there and realized I left my bow at home. I go back home and hunt there, shot a doe like 45 minutes after I get in the tree. Nothing like a well laid plan. Actually the Lord blessed me today.
My son brought his dog and tracked it up for me, he even carried it out. Talk about a blessed man! I am!

Last few Newton hunts have been no good. Trophy buck was killed a few days ago by another property owner. Scrape action still happening. Orange County hunts have been doe and pigs allowed for now. Passed two mice shooters but not allowed to at the moment.

My boy killed this one last Saturday in newton. Now it's time for us to put a plan together on one in orange county

picture of a picture so bad quality, but have this big guy coming through quite a bit. Probably the biggest bodied deer I've seen here, but he isn't legal. Have a nice legal 8pt coming daily but he is young. South Jasper Co

Good feedback guys. Just got in from Africa last night. Been getting social media pics while I was gone of some serious big deer! Newton is pumping them out. FB is gonna drive the prices up.
