Still dead on cameras. Trails, feeders, scrapes, feed pen, nothing. I'm off tomorrow, probably gonna sit on a field edge where I can see quite a bit of country, or take my saddle and sneak in to an oak Mott and see if they're on acorns. I did have a buck show up Tuesday night that I haven't seen in a month and a half, but it was only that one night. Also have a momma back at a feeder with her twins the last 3 days morning and evening.

Lease president in orange county had two bucks following a doe yesterday. I know in newton between now and rifle opener we normally have quite a few mature bucks on cam during daylight. I plan to hunt Wednesday with the colder weather coming in.

Hunted this past Wednesday in Newton. I Didn’t see any deer but noticed scrape activity has increased. A few oak trees still dropping acorns. Trail cameras are showing some bucks chasing now. I suspect with the cold front approaching it will get exciting in the woods. The two negatives, pigs have moved in and I’m not hunting!

I'm in a tree in south Jefferson county, it's dead. No deer, although I was pretty loud coming in, and the wind is total opposite of what was forecast. Lot of squirrels cutting acorns in here.

Just had a doe run by my camera in newton with her mouth open. A few minutes later a smaller buck was on the trail behind her.

I ended up seeing 1 big coyote at 9:30ish and a momma with twins at about 10:15.

I've had bucks all over today in newton. I sure wish I wasn't working.

I hunted this morning until 11, saw several deer, 1 small buck following behind a yearling doe. Cameras started going crazy around 2:30. No mature bucks.

Hunted the lease today, saw a nubbin and a doe. A member reporred deer movement at his spot and he was right. 4 bucks, multiple pics. Must be a hot doe in the area
