Got restrung, got the NAP 360 rest(I'm liking it a lot better than my drop away) some beeman ICS hunters 400 spine, and some rage hypodermic practice heads. Placing arrows right where my pin says they should be. Guy at brush to bay outfitters in Halletsville seems to know his stuff!!! Happy with the service. Tons of inventory for a small shop and I do mean tons! Probably close to $80,000 just in bows hanging on the wall for sale. He's got it all and was a real nice guy. I'll do business there again

First, get new strings and have the shop put everything into spec. You ABSOLUTELY DON'T have a spine issue. You have a tuning issue. Once everything is square and in tune try again. My advice and opinion is quit shooting muzzy's because they are not historically one of the most accurate broadheads that you can buy.
You will not have this problem with anything Rage in 100G. I personally prefer the hypodermic. If you simply prefer fixed blade heads, make sure that you align your fletches with the blades on your head and this will help, some. But honestly if you want precision accuracy, try a mechanical.
Good luck!

I can tell you with out a doubt. If you have to weaken an arrow to shoot better then a stiffer arrow. The bow is not in tune. I mean no disrespect to anyone on the post. But if the 340 spine did not tune. Then it's a cheep arrow and it need to be set up and knoc tuned.Last edited by enewman; 09-17-2015, 09:23 AM.

The spine change was just because I needed new arrows that were good hunting arrows and a little more quality than blackout and the spine lines up with my draw weight and length which is right at 60/28.5. Got rid of junky drop away I always hated and went to a 360 capture. Shooting rage hypodermic 100gr and they're grouping great right in the bunch with my field points. Arrow flight with these 400 ICS Hunters seems a lot straighter. Arrow doesn't kick out really at all. I'm happy. Again the guy at Brush To Bay outfitters was awesome. Very knowledgable and helpful. I'll be going back there for anything I need. Thanks for all the help gentlemen

I don't care if you post or not. It doesn't matter if I post or not.
I'm guessing I hurt your feelings by saying the chart is bad. People use this chart all the time. It's old. It was derived from recurve shooting. It's wrong.
First part is it says stiffer reaction. Move rest. You do not fix a stiff or weak by moving a rest. This is completely wrong. That was my point on that post.
Now I was just making point. I don't see a lot of the old timers on here helping anymore. And this is the type of reasons.
Again Suck it up and get over it. At 26 yrs old you would think your feelings would not get hurt so easy. I guess that is an advantage of getting old. We or I don't care I'm just getting very blunt. No reason to beat around the bush.

I'm not offended. Nothing you can say is going to offend me. But, I do take my post context seriously and try not to offend others. If it's not warranted I should say. To me, not reading the original post is a great way to end up giving bad advice. That's why I made the comment about that.
I just realized, no matter what I say you're going to interpret things as me being smart. Therefore, there's no reason for me to reply. That's the double edge sword of reading text instead of hearing a voice to determine what a persons emotion is. Once you got the idea in your mind that I'm a smartbutt, that's what you're automatically going to default to every time I post.
With the big box stores setting up peoples bows. By a person that knows very little to nothing about the product they're selling getting the wrong arrow, at the wrong length or wrong broadhead, is very common. I simply wanted to check out the arrow selection before recommending taking it in and getting the bow itself checked out. Just wanted to hopefully make this an easy fix. If the bow is perfectly in tune and the arrow sound is wrong, the same problem is going to still exist right?
I was wrong on thinking there was a spine problem. I'm willing to admit that. No need to lie to myself. While that wasn't a good arrow itself, the spine selection seemed to be okay.
The archery industry has gotten gigantic. There is literally thousands of arrow choices. I can see where it gets confusing. It's really easy to end up with the wrong arrow. You know how dangerous that can be with the energy these bows of today are putting on these carbon arrows.
I can understand that chart was developed for a recurve. But, with these high energy compound bows the importance of correct spine selection seems like it would be magnified to me? Maybe I'm wrong though. Let me know on that. I'm always open to learning new things. You've already taught me a few lessons with your replies to this thread so far.

That's great to hear! That shows you the difference between a quality arrow vs. cheap arrows.
