Since where are talking foc and broadhead weight my arrow is 26.5 long with the zwicky delta head and a 75 gn adaptor should put me at 210 plus on broad head arrow should be around 480 gn with a foc around 20

          340 or 300

I tried to figure my foc last night.

          29.5" total length
          12" to the Balance point
          9.333%

measuring total length from tip of Target point to valley of the nock

Balance point I'm measuring from the tip of the Target point to the center of my finger. I'm balancing it on my index finger.,,

          30.5 total length
          12" balance point
          10.65%

I'm most likely doing it wrong

There are two methods to measure foc. Look them up. I use the amo method. This one the measurement is from throat of knoc to insert. No tip. They both work it's just a reference number anyway. With this method changing from field point to broadhead will have very little deference in the outcome. The method you used will have a bigger change if the broadhead is long.

Remember it's all just a reference number anyway.

Sounds like your on your way. Lots of good folks on here. Which means lots of different info given. Pic one you like or try all of them. When looking at info look at what ragin writes, lots of good info likes to joke, I always through in something smart *** with him. Mudslinger is another one. Theirs a guy on here called rocky. I assume he's a older guy, bull headed, blunt, and one sided, but has been in archery a long time and has good info. Once you start researching on here you will find a lot more then them. I just remember them.

Next start looking at momentum. This is always a fun thread. Lite arrow vs heavy arrow. Haha. Just kidding stay away from that for a little while. Get your arrow built, tuned, and start shooting

            Just remember have fun

I've already been warned about Ragin' :-) I have a bad habit of waiting for Ragin' to post before I start taking notes and committing stuff to actual thought.
I'll keep my eyes open for the others you mentioned.

Momentum? Thought KE was KEng? ;-)

              I'll try the AMO Method.
DO I remove the Target tip first before balancing?
DO I Measure the balance point from the tip of the insert or throat of the nock?

Go to archerycalculator.com. It shows both ways with picture. And yes the tip has to stay.

KE might be king, but momentum is queen and we all know who's in charge there
