I love my Nikon 550. Although when I first got it, I think my hunting buddy got a bit annoyed at how often I would say, "Wanna know how far that tree is from here?"

I've got a Leupold RX-III and love it. Found it on sale at Academy. Can switch ballistics for rifles and bow speeds as well as true range .

i was looking for one of these two, not to hijack here, but which nikon 550 is everyone refering to, i see basspro has 2 different ones at 2 different price points one in the $140-170 and the other is $290-320. from the title the cheaper one says it's a prostaff 550 and the other says riflehunter 550, the riflehunter 550 also has the angel adjustment feature. so does it really matter which one?

I shoot a Leaupold. I agree with Keep. But i wont buy one without an Arc feature.

I have one and its better than my Bushnell 1000 arc. Quicker reading and has continous scan all for $169! Great buy!

For the price range finder you'd like to stay in Nikon is probably your best choice, but go to a store that has both Bushnell and Nikon and compare them to see what you like.

                              Good luck in your purchase.
