Just read this start to finish. What a great job! You have mad skills. I was questioning the furniture when you had the recliner also, seemed pretty cramped, glad you moved it out. I'd probably throw a bean bag in the corner and be done!

thank you, couch works for the 3 of us when we are all there. I may add a small gun safe in the corner. Still need to wrap a few things on it but have just been too busy this summer.

I just read this whole thing for the 1st time, pure greatness! That is incredibly clean work, refreshing to see these days. What an incredible getaway spot...

I'm still totally 100% impressed. And when I think you are about done, you go and do more to wow me! Very nice!

Amazing build. Impressive, just like other build on this site. What was the total cost?

Thank y’all. I’m super happy with how it turned out. It’s almost unreal sometimes when I sit back and look at what all I did!

I still need to add up my final cost to update y’all but it’s going to be just north of $50,000 with appliances and furnished if I had to guess. A little over my original budget but I added some expensive touches along the way and wasn’t surprised.

I think something very similar could be done for >$40k in just construction material and basic fixtures.
Once I set down and finish my cost sheet I’ll update each phase and the total.

Still way cheaper and more rewarding doing it yourself. I have thought about it but do not have the cajones to attempt it

Man that's impressive, OP! The furniture too, really dig the whole thing. Did you notch the posts to attach the beams for the foundation, or how are they attached?

Washed the 2 years of grime off last week and then sprayed the exterior with Cabot wood oil. Stacked stone skirting and it’ll be

I shot some pigs this weekend and a few dove this morning. 58 degrees felt nice! Got a few good bucks i hope stay on this same pattern opening weekend.
