It's cool when your going down the river and everyone ask "where'd you get that?" And you can say you built it. Last yr buddy took the smaller one to the frio and everyone had to turn theirs down it was so loud.... Can't begin to think about this yr with this one. I turned it up 3/4 of the way and could hear it crystal clear at the end of my block till the neighbor asked what was going on lol.

Here is the smaller version I just finished up this afternoon. Should be able to fit a small soft sided cooler in this one. I'm really pleased with how clean it came out.

I'm starting my first build later this week. What do you use to seal up the speakers on the inside to keep water from coming in?

I really have a Pyle 4 Channel 4x100 RMS amp and ordered 2 of the Infinity 6x9. May decide to go nuts and add 2 6.5 as well. Go big or go home, right?

I just use a good bead of caulk or silicone and smooth it out so it bonds to both surfaces for a good seal.

As for the 6.5".... Why not lol. That rig should sound pretty good, Iv heard good things about the infinitys.

It's just a regular feeder battery.... If you can, find a 8amp/hr but most are 7. Typically il link them together in series to get longer battery life. Lawnmower batteries work really good as well.

Do you mean parallel?
If you wire DC batteries in series, you add the voltage together.
So, if you wired two 12v batteries, in series, you'd have a 24v system, three would yeild 36v and four would give you 48v.

It gets hot but iv never had it go into thermal protection and shut off. Il be adding them on the larger cooler, but for a different reason than temperature. The 6x9 are starting to compete for airspace, so that's the reason.

I haven't been but I would whenever I get around to making them cleaner and have a use for multiple switches (leds etc). But that's just me, it's prob not a bad idea.

Let me first start by saying that I'm not that great at this kind of thing...but I'm making a run at it.

Tool the black Coleman cooler idea from someone on here. Also using the same infinity speakers. Decided on 2 6x9...one on top and one in front. Went with 2 6.5" on the sides. Here is the progress so far.






I will shrink wrap everything better tomorrow as my "heat gun" is less than adequate.

Still need to pick up an on/off switch to put in a cup holder, silicone to make sure it's sealed and something to tack the wire up out of the way.

Debating on the battery. I have a big one, but it's 25 pounds. Gonna see what a feeder battery will do and for how long.

If you guys see something wrong, don't hesitate to point it out.
