Looking at this just gave me an idea for a free floating cammo blind to hang in front of my stand.

no its not heavy, but it is kind of awkward to carry in my bag, it would be easier if I could remove the arm for packing. But it works pretty dang good.

I haven't found a 1/4" knob yet to secure the pan/tilt head to the arm. I'm anxious to get this thing assembled!
I also got the 1/4" knob from ACE Hardware

I found one at my local hardware store but I don't think they've got the nylon bushings.

well, I learned a real important lesson about this here camera arm. Thought never crossed my mind that critters would love to live in the open ended square tubing...

**** near fell out of my stand swatting bee's, I had left it strapped to my tree for about a month before I went back out. Well they built themselves a pretty good nest in the large tube, and spiders did the same in the smaller tubes.

Gonna fill it up with some foam so that don't happen again

                            Nice!!!

I was gonna build a mount for my iPhone to attach to my crossbow.

But since i will be primarily stand hunting, I am going to build this, use pieces from a cheap tripod and get an iPhone tripod mount.

That will allow me to film with my iPhone or any camera...

                            I like it !!!! Thanks...
