Not sure about all of them, but the Lowe's by me has pre-cut sections of the schedule forty in 60" pieces.

That's what I said. But you'll find yourself making more than one. After you shoot it it will really suprise you. I've made 6 and I bought enough bow string for 6 more.

Check out Backyard Boyer's videos on YouTube. I've made 6 of his youth recurves and they are almost indestructible. Great bow fishing rigs cuz they are dirt cheap and simple.

I've always shot a compound but have really enjoyed shooting this bow. I think I'm going to try my hand at making a wood long bow. There is something about making your own bow and hunting with it. It is really a saticfying feeling.

I tried to break one by standing on the handle and streaching it as far as I could. It didn't break and i pulled it well past 28". my oldest son shoots mine all the time and he draws 30"

Like this? I made this one for my Daughter. she just turned 4 today. It's made with 1/2" PVC 36" long. I covered the outside of it with black heat shrink and made the wrap and silencers from Paracord. the string is also Paracord. I've shot it over 20 yrds before. If I ever make another one for someone that young I will make it a little longer. This one is a little hard for her to draw. The longer it is the easyer it is to draw.
