So 91% of the Republican house members don't want the border secured, don't want to stop the IRS hiring of more agents, curb inflation, etc? Or any of other things the 19 have claimed they wanted while inferring McCarthy didn't?

Hannity tried to get Boebert to elaborate on several of her claims and she ignored every one while some of you cheered her on putting him in his place. Same with Gaetz. Hell, he can't even decide who he supports for SOH.

And by golly, if the majority chose to ignore some of their demands, so be it. Why won't the 19 explicitly state what they were? Little Ms Boebert won't acknowledge a single one. Just her idiotic "I brought him the votes and what it would take to get them and he smugly denied."

If you're OK with these fools doing this the way they are, then good for you. if they are successful, what happens when there is a minority of fools you disagree with who pull similar stunts?

That is why, regardless the outcome with McCarthy himself, this is a fiasco that weakens the party.

I keep reading “weakening the party” I don’t think that’s possible anymore. They are the biggest roll over and take it in *** bunch. I am still a hard conservative and i never thought I would say this but as far as the Republican Party goes they are no better than the Democrats. Same party as far as I’m concerned. They are there for power, money and nothing else. They both fight in public then get behind closed doors and make deals that lines their pockets. KM gets it or doesn’t get it nothing changes but all the blustering and the American people get nothing. Hell he’s already trying to make deals with them. Nothing is gonna change until a bunch of people in Congress draw a hard line and are willing to go down fighting. Like I said earlier that ain’t gonna happen cause there is too much money to lose

I have taken a break from the news the last few months. But since these most recent events on speaker election process I have been watching it again. Very interesting to say the least. I am glad to see a few standing up for what they believe in and not just going along.

When I say weaken, I'm talking about credibility in the eyes of everyday Americans and whom we have to win more over to the Republican side in order to win elections.

There is not a major issue in this country that isn't 10x or more deeper, more complex, and with roots spread across both parties than the simplistic over-generalizations made by politicians and supporters on both sides.

I honestly don't know what the answer is or who but it is going to take smarter people on both sides to come together to make anything better. I don't really see that in McCarthy but I absolutely don't see it with the likes of Gaetz and Boebert and this lunacy.
