I have been curious about this guy for a while. Sure like some of the things he is pushing. Just can't find the trust in his messaging along with the look he portrays. Looks like a little snake to me, but I can be swayed.
I wish Abbott was more like Desantis, but that would be wishful thinking.

My biggest problem with him is he seems to play to the middle too much which makes him too soft on issues that matter to me. Maybe it's just the politics of the thing where he want to get along with the liberals and get a few of their votes. All politicians seem to promise things they know full well they can't deliver. I don't like that but it is what it is.
You mean when re-election time comes, he suddenly says conservative things (One month after DeSantis says them)? Ya don't say?!

I'm back to Abbott. Beware all the challengers. Lots of America haters want Abbott out of office.

It was crap and is crap and I will not forget that and forgive him for it. He showed his true colors during the pandemic.

            Anyone but Abbot.

If West ends up being a sell out, that'll suck. But we already know that Abbott is a sellout. He doesn't deserve to stay in office. I've not been impressed enough with Huffines to vote for him over West. West is leading the polling numbers with percentages into the 40s now. Abbott is 2nd in the 30s. All the others, including Huffines are single digits. The race is between West and Abbott.

That's the way I see it too. If it's West or Abbott, I'm picking West.

The old saying is "if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it". So be careful what you wish for. You might end up with Beto. What I'm hoping for is a candidate that will crush Beto in the final election and that is who I will vote for in the primary if I think they will beat Beto Pendejo. If I have to hold my nose to vote then so be it.

Beto has nothing to do with the Republican primary. The goal is to elect the best Republican candidate. Not "who can beat Beto". This mentality is what got us Mitt Romney, who was the only one "Who could beat Barack".

Huffines guaranteed a Cowboys super bowl if he gets elected. I like a straight shooter who has his priorities in order. Huffines gets my vote.

This is bull****. It is broke and it does need fixed. This is how you end up with t urds in office for 60 years. Maybe West or whoever is next will suck more than Abbot currently does. So be it. Time for fresh blood and then if they suck put another set of fresh blood in.

Exactly right why people continue to do this blows my mind.

Yep. Most of his recent pandering statements and policies are empty and meaningless. They're just meant to sound good during campaign season. He's hoping everybody thinks he's back as a real conservative.
