I wonder if it's coincidental that Texas also is the world's eighth largest economy.

      The Real Pandemic

Old, fat, or people with diabetes or a combination of all. Those are the people the covid kills. No study needed.

I’m middle aged and fat and I still didn’t have any issues with the Corona.

Food that's bad for you is much cheaper than food that's good for you.

I disagree with the cost being more. I buy lots of cabbage- fresh peppers- eggs- greens- sweet potatoes etc. I see prices on processed meals and it is expensive. You can eat healthy on a budget

You can, but you have to work at it. Which many people are unwilling to do. I haven't seen many thin and in shape low wage earners.

                      I’ve gained weight & weigh the most I’ve ever weighed at 212 & I’m 5/10-5/11ish
I still look small compared to a lot other folks
                      I agree obesity has increased
I know a nurse that told me as people age most of their regular patients coming in with chronic health issues is typically linked to obesity

The fact that the Covid message from all the govt rats has never been for people to lose weight and get healthy tells you all you need to know.

Not sure that’s true. Fruits, veggies, beans rice cost almost nothing.

Sorry no pointing fingers here just a general observation from what I’ve been told
Our company has a wellness program incentives to help promote healthy lifestyles & it’s geared to help reduce insurance premiums which I understand
If we are generally healthier with less need for medical care then costs goes down

And as far as the comments on food costs comparing healthy food vs cheap non healthy it all depends on how you look at it

I can buy cheap now that’s not healthy but pay big later on the effects related to obesity, cholesterol, etc
Or I can pay higher now for healthier food choice & hopefully this offsets later medical costs by needing less care. No guarantees but could play in one’s favor

Come on down to San Antone and you’ll see exactly why TX is ranked 8th, it’s absolutely disgusting.

Do you think that United States is the fattest country on the planet by accident? Well it's not.. It is because our politicians are totally corrupt and are in bed with the food manufacturers and big pharma.. They make billions upon billions off of people being fat. There are actually a couple of good documentaries out about this... Just research how bad Corn Syrup is for the human body and then research how many products are allowed to contain it.. It poison yet nothing is done to stop its use.. Quite the opposite actually.
This right here! Exactly why I quit eating processed foods years ago
