Actually they can't, it has already been proven in court with other similar cases. They can make it a condition for new employees, but not for existing. Lawyers are gonna have a field day with this.

      Lol
My company has an entire building dedicated to nothing but the legal dept. They may employ more attorneys than most companies have employees.
They can't simply say you must do "this" or find other employment. It doesn't work that way.
You must get your fix of heroin every morning before coming to work or be terminated! I guess you couldn't sue for that because you'd have a choice. They didn't "make" you do it!....lol

Did you coworker have fall protection? Why did he try to complete the job if it was unsafe? Lol!

I’m with the SC on this one. You can’t unjab an employee when they leave work. If there are adverse effects from a company requirement, then I hope the company gets sued out of business.

He was told to walk the bridge for inspection and fell. He sued, he won. What details would make the outcome different "in your mind"..just the thought of asking that makes me shiver.

Must have not provided fall protection? If that’s the case, I see how he won. Also, if he felt unsafe and did it anyway he’s a moron.

You can sue for being fired. Its a thing.
