Also, do the people that deny God stay in the grave (their souls) until judgment day or do they automatically go to hell at death?

All to save mankind who many in fact would deny him? You guys are gonna make me break out my Bible and start reading lol
Danno, you ask great questions. I don't believe that Jesus was tortured and escaped. He went to hell, the dead, to save the dead and tell them the good news, the Truth. Many, many graves opened up on the day Jesus died and those were resurrected.

I honestly have no idea what our purpose on Earth is and ponder that all the time. I just sum it up to the fact that GOD loves us all and we will come to understand the 'whys' in the Everlasting times.

I do believe when we are restored from the grave, we will be flesh on this earth, not souls flying around the clouds
I guess there's 2 concerns to your question.
1st- why do you need a savior if God already has plans for us all to be in heaven without any choice from us?
2nd- I'm more concerned about guys like Danno that your telling not to worry about believing in God or Christ because he's automatically going to heaven.
So back to my original 2 scenarios of which of us are right or wrong in our beliefs. Yours, he's fine...mine, he's in serious trouble and God will hold you accountable for his blood. So I'm concerned for you both. Sincerely concerned!

This part I understand and ponder this as well. But I do know it has to have a purpose and the only one I can arrive at is that it's our time to build a relationship with God thru Christ. I also believe that relationship establishes our eternity with Him. I believe we must chose that relationship during this time.
I also agree we will understand the "why's" in the everlasting. Where we are in the everlasting when we understand is where we may disagree.

I agree hell is not a place of punishment. It's a place "apart from God" that is of our choosing. And apart from God is a place of unholiness and chaos. It will seem like punishment but it's not. It is just where we will go to be away from God because we choose to be away from God. Wickedness will be the standard there. Not holiness and righteousness. God allows us to choose to be with Him or apart from Him. Heaven and hell are those places.

I can see where you are coming from. I believe that when we know we are going to live eternally with GOD, we will be at peace with ourselves and will act accordingly, knowing that GOD is a loving God, not a condemning God. Jesus came to tell us that, the Truth. I know I am living better because I believe this way.
In your scenario, what happens to the guy in the middle of China who has no idea of God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost?

You and I believe pretty much the same. It's just the 'when' that we disagree on. I say that GOD/Jesus/Holy Ghost never gives up on us, even when we are dead.

I believe we are to spread the gospel to all corners of the earth for that reason. I understand there could still be those that do not hear the good news. I believe there is a plan for those and that will be trusted to God. So in answer to your question, I don't have one other than to trust God.
You are correct that God is not a condemning God. We choose our own condemnation. Free will kinda sux but it's also the only way we can fully experience the true love of a loving God!

I think we derailed this thread. What was it originally about?
                    My apologies to the OP

Yeah I enjoy a conversation that doesn't just result in name calling and ridicule.
Oh and I'm guilty of both so no one needs to think I'm pointing finger anywhere else.[emoji3]

I apologize for derailment as well, but find myself more and more intrigued by listening to you guys speak.

Sorry, just had to correct this.

The point is moot, not mute.

                                Sabine,
Can you point me in the direction of where the bible states this to be true?
