A whole bunch of the people here came via a work visa. The visa ran out and they stayed...... What do you expect them to do? Some of them have families here so I guess they should just up and move everything they've worked their entire lives for. Many of them risk their lives trying to get here and do jobs americans won't do...... I personally think a national sales tax would solve all the issues you guys have with "illegals". They would still pay their fare share of taxes if every time they bought something they paid tax on it.
so they weren't aware that their visa was going to expire? i work with a lot of guys that have been/are on work visas, they know exactly when they expire and they have a full understanding that when it's time to go back it's time to go back. Illegals don't risk their lives to get here to do jobs that American's wont do, (that's just a talking point to make everyone feel better about exploiting them once they get here) they are simply leaving a situation that is worse where they come from and when they get here there are plenty of employers with open arms ready to say " you can do a job an American wont, but i'm going to pay you half" . i mean really, Do you think an illegal wakes up and says "I'm going to go to America and do a job because an American won't" and then they start their trek here? .
Do you realize what any other country would do if you overstayed your visa?
what we are doing is insane and it's unsustainable and that's why no other country allows it.
Reapply for a new visa before it runs out or get deported.
Say you are a Guatemalen. More than likely you would have to go back to your country of origin so you can reapply at your consulate. Our system is jacked up as is everything that involves the federal government!

If their families have been living here Illegally then Yes- they should pack up and go back! Legal Vs Illegal- itās a very easy concept.
My Grandparents cam here from Ireland in 1929 legally. My Mother was the first to be born in the US. I have very strong opinions on illegal immigration (do it legal or be thrown out period). Employers should be fined and or jailed for not verifying the status of the employees. Illegals should not be entitled to any welfare or benefits at all. Migrants must contribute to society by working, paying taxes, if they are a burden on society automatic deportation.
What does that matter? They knew how to get a Visa ā if they actually did ā . If they knew how to get that done then if they really wanted to they would keep them valid.
My grandparents came to the US for a better life for themselves and their children and grandchildren like me. I donāt know the first thing they did when they stepped on American soil. But I can tell you what it wasnāt- breaking US laws. They also did not go to a government building and sign up for money for food, housing, and health care.
Areas in Montana (where I retired) are having a building boom. Look at Bozeman for example. My son is a builder. Few to no illegals in construction here. Why? The WWBs (working white boys) wonāt tolerate them on a job site. General Contractors know their skilled labor will bail if they did. Labor wage scale is 2-3x for a non-union carpenter here since Jose is not setting the wages.
I worked with all different races and nationalities in 27 years in high tech. All came into the US legally.
Maybe itās my āwhite privilegeā and busting my butt to get myself a BS and 2 masters for good paying jobs.

A lot of them pay "attorneys" in their home country to get them here. The actual people have no knowledge of the requirements or what it takes to file everything they need to file.

why is this jacked up? because it's inconvenient ? that's the process and it's no different than many many other countries. people say our system is broken but they can never specify what is broken about it, they just don't like it. we deal with this all the time in our office with our ex pats. it's not fun but amazingly we manage it and it's not fair to the guys that do it right to have millions of illegals pouring through our borders with no recourse.

Pretty well sums it all up!
Iām disabled and there are times I need help around the place. When I start asking around people say just hire some ( wet*****) I give them the What for and tell them that they are a Big part of the problem. For any of you employers that may be involved in this then you should heavily discern your actions.

So you want to require covid tests for everyone to be able to come into our country because all other countries require that too.

If our system isn't broken/jacked up then explain to us why we have millions of illegal immigrants living here today?

Again the concept is either Legal or Illegal and there is No in between!
