I agree with you it's illegal and I'm not defending illegals. In their mind it makes more sense to stay here with little or no threat of deportation. To stay "legal" it cost them a lot of money, it's inconvenient to jump through hoops and a lot of them have to travel halfway across the world to get back in legally. They get free schools, free healthcare, free money and free food!!! Why would they leave is my question? Especially if the only thing that happens when they get caught is a bus ride to the border where they get a hot shower and a meal. Then they get dropped off and they are back in Houston 2 days later... Our system is screwed up big time and I have a hard time blaming them. I've been to some of the places they come from... I think there are better ways of incorporating these people into our society.

Exactly my point! There's big fines and you lose your ability to hunt, drive or own a vehicle.... It's too easy to be here and there's little or no consequences to being here illegally.... But you can't blame the people who are trying to make a better life for themselves.. It's not their fault we make it so easy for them to be here illegally!

Do you know what would happen if all the people here illegally were to go file all the paperwork they needed to be here legally? It would take YEARS and YEARS to process all the paperwork. It would be a logistical nightmare!!!!!!!

We used to employ a couple of guys from Mexico that were here on Visa's Not that hard to renew used to take them about 2-3 weeks to get a renewal. If they can prove employment they are jumped to the front of the line.

Another issue is on the employer side of this whole ordeal. Did you call and verify they had actually renewed their visa legally? Be honest, most employers don't even know who or where to call. I'm not saying your did or didn't but when have you ever done anything with the federal government in 2-3 weeks!! I guarantee you there are fewer suppressor sales in the US than aliens attempting to renew their visa.... I've never heard of someone getting a supressor in 2-3 weeks!!

I know you did what you are required to do by law but did you actually call to verify it was legal? You know like most of us are going to do with the Covid "vaccine card". A majority of people in this forum are going to get a "vaccine card" from whoever they can find to make them one that looks legal. It's the same concept! Every person who gets a fake "vaccine card" is probably going to breaking numerous laws. The reason we break these laws is because we feel like the government in infringing on our rights... Here's the kicker to the whole argument. A lot of the people fleeing to the U.S. have no rights! A lot of them have two options. Join a gang/ cartel or die. If they are female they have 3 options. Join the cartel, do whatever the cartel guys tell you to do or die... Many of them are lucky to get one meal a day of that. They live on a few dollars a week if that.

A whole bunch of people are here on expired work visas!!! A whole lot of people, millions of people... The immigration system deals with enforcing the laws of said system. What good is a system with no regulation or enforcement?
