Just curious on thoughts about it

I honestly can't say & think it was pure panic vs any sort of options with logic. Honestly don't think Trump wanted any of this for obvious reasons when you usually survive or die politically on the economy.

I'm indifferent on the article after watching Pandemic on netflix & going back to Spanish Flu outcome. I do think the idea of sheltering those most affected has merit but having a kid with pre-existing would likely not have her going to school like a chicken pox party the author is suggesting. I most certainly feel we need to get back to some normalcy very soon & every day brings me closer to the whole cure not being worth it.

There is a lot that doesn't pass the smell test on this & haven't heard (or missed it) in the ongoing live update in regards to what Shane shared early on. I think hydroxychloroquine / zinc / z-pak should be the new talking point for those hospitalized & it isn't by any stretch for whatever reason. Maybe those around Trump have stock in the new vaccine?? I don't put the $$$$ grab on a crisis past anyone. Trump came out of the gates really touting it & then pulled back when the experts around him stated there were not any studies & have side affects. Well, the current side affect of not getting better from severe covid is death.

No. I’m not saying you are lying. I am saying your blanket statement is not true. I’m sure what you posted was based on information from your own experience, but it is not factually true for the greater Houston area. Your own reference was in Galveston.
Regarding your Hermann bashing, I won’t even justify that remark with a response.

Get ready for it vaccine, vaccine, vaccine, vaccine. You will have to take this vaccine to get on a plane, a train, to go to school, to work. It is coming

Well youtube censors theirs so you have to do some digging. I haven't seen one that was overwhelmed. All the news stories show are few people walking around with masks on. If hospitals were overwhelmed wouldn't they be showing that? Where are the bodies going? Wouldn't they be wheeling them out to the fridge trucks? Some things are just not adding up.
I have found a few videos online of the NYC hospitals. They really look no different than University Hospital does here on a busy night. You would think there would be more out there.

No dog in this fight as I am not educated enough to make a case for either view point. I will play devil's advocate for a bit however.

For those that are driving the point that hospitals in Texas are way slower as compared to normal here is the question. So what if hospitals are operating at normal business levels and then you get a large wave of corona patients?? Would those hospitals still be able to treat everyone??

For those driving the point that SIP is the only way to survive the virus here is your question. An American economy that could potentially end up in depression and might creat such dire economic conditions that peeps die due to not being able to afford medical care. What then??

Last question, just in general. I realize there are a lot less people living their normal routines but what has actually lead to so few people being hospitalized? When we get back to normal, what should we be doing to continue the low hospitalization numbers?

yeah, it likes it cold; guess we had better crank up the heat a little more.

To simply answer the question if I've had enough of this...The answer is yes, I've had enough of the insanity.

While I cant comment on the hospital situation I will say that I think social distancing has been a complete scam. At least from what I have seen in central La.

I have visited Lowes several times and without fail it has been more crowded than I have ever seen.Wife has been to Walmart and same story. Grocery stores packed. What are the odds someone in those stores carries the virus?

IF the corona virus is as contagious as proposed

                AND IF

What I am seeing here in central La. is playing out elsewhere in the state...nation.

Then it seems to me everyone will be [ has been? ] exposed to the virus. Much like happens with the flu every year.Yes, this may be a stronger version of the flu.But when we end up comparing the actual mortality it will still be a footnote compared to most other significant causes of death.

And for this we have wreaked havoc on the economy and countless peoples economic health.

                IMO

Agree. I’d rather take my chances in a Wuhan whore house before taking some mandated bs corona vaccine.

No, they’re actually playing along very well. It’s just a whole bunch of other people are getting sick of playing along. This whole thing is starting to stink to high heaven and the restrictions versus what we’re aloud to do are really contradictory. It’s a weird situation.

Early antibody testing is proving that this virus has been here for awhile. We were thriving with it in our midst for months, but now all of the sudden it’s pandemonium and we’re shutting the world down.

Of course it’s a bad disease and it’s wrecking a little havoc, but we’ve dealt with similar things before. We just didn’t deal with similar social experiments as a result. There are a whole lot of experts that disagree with the the way it’s being handled, they’re just not on T.V. every day. All logic and common sense has exited stage left. What a **** show.

Trump has got to put people back to work. Either wear mask, social distance, rearrange the tables in restaurants and keep spectators out of stadiums. BUT PUT PEOPLE BACK TO WORK and GET the ECONOMY GOING!!!!!

                          I’ll play!

1). Have you seen any data on testing, vs positives, vs. symptoms, vs hospitalizations vs deaths.? Yes lots of people tested, very few positive, then very few with symptoms then the last group of needing hospitalizations. The media has you believe that everybody that gets it dies. The numbers don’t add up.

2). When you say large wave of people are we talking 50, 500, 5000? But your question pertained to hospitalizations which means a stay or do you mean needs a vent? See I can ask the question and constantly get different answers. 40 to 60 mil get the flu every year, with hospitalizations which lead to death for some.

Let me ask you a question! Everything that you believe about the virus comes from where? Your questions are based on something you have read or heard. If it is the MSM then this is why people are not believing what is being shoved down are throats.

We need to go back to work, but just make sure your desk isn’t within 6 ft in front or behind of someone. Next to them is fine though.

This was the same scenario at the Lowes checkout I was at today. By the way, there were 12,000 people in the building nut to butt. Common sense has left the building.

Luckily I haven’t missed a day of work since this **** started.
