    COVID-19 school me

While the impact of flu varies, it places a substantial burden on the health of people in the United States each year. CDC estimates that influenza has resulted in between 9 million – 45 million illnesses, between 140,000 – 810,000 hospitalizations and between 12,000 – 61,000 deaths annually since 2010.
Now COVID-19 is a flue like virus and last night I think Trump said 15 people sick not dyeing.
Why is the government so freaked out?

I think because at first China and many other countries were lying and not providing accurate data, then earlier this week the number of cases exploded. I've read that China is classifying the cause of death incorrectly so as not to attribute to COVID-19.

Markets react on fear, and the fear is the unknown because we are not getting truth out of China and some other countries that are severely impacted.

I dont personally know. But why would all the other countries with cases completely shut down everything for "the flu"?

"Uncertainty". The best doctors in the world aren't even sure yet what this is, or if it will be a recurring event like the flu. It's a fluid situation with new information being released every day.

Because if as many people catch this one as the regular flu deaths will be 180,000-900,000 people. It is at least 20x as deadly as the common flu so far.

Common flu death rate is 0.1-0.4%
          COVID-19 is at least 2%

Have you noticed that every statement from the CDC starts with "we dont think" and ends with "yet"

There are no certainties with new viruses.

I guess I hear things different, or look at things differently.

First I hear we're in good position and have plans.

But I also hear the "yet" and the BE PREPARED from the lady at the CDC.

No way you're getting money out of congress if conditions aren't dier.

Remember when Scientist said we have a hole in the ozone. They had to strike fear in everyone in order to get funding to study it. When is the last time you heard about the hole in the ozone?

And I find it pretty amazing that the first case of unknown origin was just discovered yesterday as Congress is trying to decide how much funding to provide to the CDC.

It's 100+ times more contagious than the flu

It just seems like every couple years some disease is about to wipe us off the earth for a about a month and then media gets bored and moves on. I don't get it.

Correct. In a month, it won't even be a thing. You can bet if impeachment was still going on, no one would know about CV.

People just need a reason to be scared at all times. Those same people will find another disease or virus or government program to be afraid of. They will try to make you feel like you are an idiot because you aren't afraid of those things. They won't compare apples to apples.

Not only that, you know what the cure for CV is? Rest and hydration.

You can also bet the Deep State and Globalists want to crash our economy, so as to make Trump look bad and blame it on him. Many of them have publically admitted they wished our economy would crash so Trump could not use that as a election point.
