From the way you present yourself on this forum I can only reason that you are why we have such laws..

i have an opinion, just like the rest of you.

the way some behave on this forum, i am surprised they aren't already locked up...

does it help if we put smileys after insults? i noticed a lot do that...

I'm from another time when men could express their opinions without insult, and did so because insult had consequence. And if they did utter an insult it was because they accepted whatever consequence occurred next. Today, people hide behind law instead of being man enough to face the consequence of their words and actions.

Whether on a public forum or face to face a man should be ready to defend his words and actions physically or think twice before proceeding.

Sadly... that is not the way of this country any longer and while some may relish that fact.... others like myself lament that fact.. This country has gone to the ( I can't use that word)

I'd go back to these days in a heartbeat...

The Burr–Hamilton duel was a duel between two prominent American politicians: the former secretary of the treasury, Alexander Hamilton, and sitting vice president, Aaron Burr, on July 11, 1804. At Weehawken, in New Jersey, Burr shot and mortally wounded Hamilton. Hamilton was carried to the home of William Bayard on the Manhattan shore, where he died the next day.
