No, not all employers are required to use it. Im no expert, but know small businesses arent required. I never did. I did have to make copies of 2 forms of ID ( there are various options on which ID ), complete an I-9 and report the new hire to the state.

So if the documents are fake, there is no way for me to know.

With regards to some bullets flying across, I know I am going to take some heat for this, but I think we need to stay the course and focus on getting these criminals out of the country and not getting dragged into a border fight. They (the cartels) are going to try to throw us off guard with this. Stay cautious and stay the course. There is obviously a line in the sand there...I just don't think they are going to cross it. That is my .2cents

be done with it and help Mexico become a better neighbor.

I say we help them, not makem enemies but understand that it is time for some folks/ organizations to die.

I humbly disagree with this. It sounds eerily similar to another Middle East mess. The cartels are so intertwined into the government and local town economies in Mexico that it would be a complete and utter disaster to try to wipe them all out...only to have them resurface a month later with a new leader. Mexico and its people need to find a way to deal with it. We need to keep the cartels, their drugs, and their influence out of our country simply by securing our border.

Ive used E-Verify a few places, not all. Even with E-Verify, you dont know, all they need is papers that match. The big flea market in Bell County used to sell those

I get ya...100percent. I am just at the place where I think it is now USA problem to fix because Mexico does not have the ability. The Cartels are making headway into our governments and another 4 more years like BIDENS and you will not be able to tell the difference in Texas and Northern Mexico IMHO.

Help Mex do it...or do it ourselves...but it has to happen sooner rather than later for the sake of our kids and grandkids.

I tend to agree with you because of foreign enemies now directly tied to the cartels. China, russia, and isis for sure.

They did a study in the late 90's, when the migrant seasonal visa's were easier to get, and found the cost of produce would only increase somewhere between 3-6%. Even double that, sure it's more, but not as dramatic as the news leads one to believe.

We either bite the bullet now, or there might not be a bullet to bite in 20 years.

The 90's was when the anchor baby racket really blasted off...the future Mrs Artos was working labor / delivery & we would let them cross the border while in labor.

There were lots of cases where the babies had issues & illegals got to sue the hospitals...here we are. It's time to fix this.

I hear you and DFA, but man our whole party just ran on no more wars. Now its like we are saying ....after just one more with Mexico.

You would literally be fighting the Mexican govt de facto...the Mex govt would need to take the lead if they really want to go after the cartels.

Problem is there is no way to shut off supply / demand be it moving humans, guns or narcotics.

I hear ya. I do not want any type of war. I think our spec ops folks could make short work.

i would want mexicos help and participation.

not a perfect remedy but I feel we there.

wall the border and north and south and man it with us soldiers. Maybe that would help too

They're invading our country and have been for the last 30+ years. They 're pushing drugs, pedaling people, and all sorts of other crap into our country. How many Americans have died because of cartel related doings? You have to cut the head off the snake. How else you going to stop criminals? Ask them nicely, maybe say please? Our own gov is in bed with the cartels... remember "fast and furious" under obama? There's gov officials in AZ who are tied to and backed by the mexico cartels, I wouldn't be surprised if TX has some as well as other states. Declaring the cartels terrorists and taking them out is part of having a strong, safe, and secure border.

So it sounds to me like 1st we need to fix the system and then require all employers to use it. Otherwise we're just wasting our breath. While we're at it we need to make it so that welfare is reserved for citizens and make it so that those same citizens are limited to a set number of years so that maybe we can fill those low paying jobs.
