The official name is "United States of Mexico" and we are on the North American continent (there's a South one, too).
Perhaps Txarrowhunter is trying to point out those facts.
And the majority of Mexicans are not white. The more European ( mostly Spanish ) blood they have, the whiter they are, but the bloodlines are mostly native. Many certainly call themselves white, but by the numbers most are primarily native. By the US census, I believe they must choose white, due to lack of suitable choices.

And nobody uses that term. In common usage it's called Mexico.
The term US is known to mean USA the world over. Technically it COULD mean United States of Mexico. But it doesn't.
My stepdaughter went down this word play tangent years ago. It's a way for people to feel smart, feel like they know something that others dont. Kind of a "gotcha" mentality rather than trying to win on the actual merits of your argument.
Clean up on isle 6! Wow, this has been one of the biggest derailments that I have seen on TBH in a while.
Mexico’s name is Estados Unidos Mexicanos. Having said this, what does this have to do with anything? I was born in Mexico and our family legally migrated to the USA ( thank you Lord and thanks to my parents) when I was in second grade. I eventually became a naturalized US citizen. I have never heard a Mexican national refer to them selves as “Americano”. Let’s stop with the none-sense and allow for a discussion as to the on going deportations.
I can say this, here in Houston, they are conducting raids already. I dont know how or why or if these were already scheduled to something else, like i said i dont know all the circumstances....... but the raids happened right after he anounced the deportations.
^^^ Thanks for the update/info 19. Not looking for location info, curious on if it’s like work site type enforcement stuff or if it is within neighborhood areas targeting the so called dangerous criminal aliens?

Carry on!
And I thought it was translated to United Mexican States but my Spanish is limited to almost two years of Duolingo.
And even fresh pursuit is now limited on entry into a residence if it’s a misdemeanor by a fairly recent Supreme Court decision.
Is being here illegally a misdemeanor or a felony?
in curious about this, allegedly you have to have ras to ID someone, but entering the country illegally is a crime?

Since you were nationalized as a child, did you take advantage of the ability to have dual citizenship? There are definitely a lot of benefits to it. My Dad recently found out that he qualifies for Mexican social security. The Mexican resident citizens don't like that but hey, a lot of Mexican citizens have been taking advantage of our social programs for all these years. It's nice to see it go the other way for once.

when I naturalized Mexico had changed their laws to allow Mexican Nationals to have dual citizenship and you actually had to renounce your citizenship. At the time I was told I would have to go to Saltillo, Coahuila to process the necessary paper work. I was not going to drive to Saltillo so I kept the Mexican citizenship.
no i will not be claiming the Mexican pension plan. I have never made any contributions to it so I am not entitled to any of it.
